Taking inspiration from far-flung places and the wonderfully decadent eras of fashion history, Kit Willow has conjured up a feeling of carefree elegance for her label, melding luxurious finishes with an earthy romance that’s right for now and tomorrow. WILLOW’s signature luxurious textures, softly draped shapes, unconventional colours and earthy embellishment conjure up the sentiments of luxe glamour, that’s blithe and alluring. Drawing on her background in visual merchandising, marketing and design, the Sydney-based designer debuted at Mercedes Australian Fashion Week in 2003, winning accolades for her launch collection of decadent lingerie fixed with delicately jewelled straps. From there, Willow developed the range, adding her own unique spin by rapidly expanding outerwear in luxurious textures that vary from delicate silks to traditional tweeds and metallic weaves.
